The Delphi 8 update 3 to resolve versioning issues with the .NET 1.1 SP1 release has been going through internal testing for the past week. We’re working toward a release target of early December.
Meanwhile, Delphi 2005 promotional events continue to roll out the new product at a variety of events, including Borland user group meetings, Microsoft events (I was in Las Vegas last week with Anders Ohlsson at the MS ASP.NET Connections event), and partner events. I’ll be rolling out Delphi 2005 in Toronto with Allen Bauer and Lino Tadros at Falafel’s Delphi conference this Monday and Tuesday. (a bezillion thanks to Bruce McGee for going above and beyond the call of duty in his role as the local host/liason for this event. I’ll spill the details after I’ve stopped asking more of him.. ;> )
And through all of this activity on D8 and D9, er, Delphi 2005, we’re sketching out the feature ideas and pencilling in schedule estimates for next year’s Delphi products. The big push for 2005/2006 will be supporting the .NET 2.0 platform in all its glory.
